Its amazing that people will work for $0.01 per post. Forum poster works all day. 100 posts x $0.01 = $1
I think it is people in India and Nigeria that can pay rent with $9.00 a month. There is just no way for a Europe or an American to compete with that. They can live on $50 a month, that won’t even buy our Internet connection. Also younger people who are just learning and get jobs to do lessons with and try to get experience. But there is no way a grown Europe or an American can do stuff that cheap unless they are living in their moms basement. Some of the jobs people will do on here for almost nothing blows my mind.
it depends on one's location. (i dont mean to be racist or something!) i see some ppl selling links or themes for $5... for me, like for many here, it's a nothing, but for someone in far east for example its MORE than daily income if he was to work on a dayjob (in china approx wage is 100$ per month). so if for some of us 5 bucks is hardly a beer, for others -- they got their daily wage for 10 minutes of work, which is very successful. also the age aspect. we have 12 years old webmasters and 30+ years old ppl here. while the second category has bills to pay, kids to feed, etc, -- the kids can just earn a few bucks in their spare time and that will be more than what they get from parents so its pure pocket money to spend online cash out, which is again -- great achievement.
No offense, but you're a cause of this. I don't know if you work for pennies, but I've notice that you and a few other users go through almost ever thread in the Design forum posting the same thing. So other users that don't spend 90% of their day on the internet are forced to work for lower prices. It's not you as much as a few others though.
cheap services come with cheap quality and people who want quality will always pay someone that has more iTraders and asks for more money. This problem happens everywhere. GaF or Ren a Coder has a lot of freelancer from countries with cheap salaries that are willing to do ANY project for maybe 10% of the bid. Still... the ones that offer quality will always ask for a fair price.
you make me laugh dude - thats the lamest xcuse you could have ever give.. plus i would like you to prove that i post the same content in every post i post.. the reason why prices are cheap for such guys, is that the work done is of matching quality! Think before you speak next time. and yeah, no offense.. P.S. we have nearly the same number of posts.. keeping a month gap in mind..
I guess some are just so eager to earn money online. I even saw someone posted in the BST section offering $0.005 per post and some posted they are even interested even at those rate so sad.
thats the thing i have just discovered- pipl trashed two of my sale threads, b-coz they think my time worth 80 bucks no, thanks , i live in central london, UK
I'm not trying to start anything. I'm just posting my opinion based off of what I have seen from you.
Some pretty good insight in the above post, I find. Yes, being that this is not only a global venue, but also one with members of different ages and standards...no unions, unregulated markets, different currencies and economies(among other factors)...one might expect that one persons pennies is another persons riches. .
And people buy their services thinking that they are getting a great deal until they find out that people from india and other asian markets don't speak english very well, and the article ends up being full of errors. You get what you pay for.
This is a good questions, my guess is that even though it is pennies or like a dollar, if you are selling something unique then a little can add up to a lot.
I think a lot of people are just trying to find their way into making more money, and therefore start out by making little. It's the same everywhere in the world. Once you get really good at "something" you can put your own price on any of your services. But as long as you can only do what 500,000 other people can do, you work for pennies.
dont look in short term transactions, $3 is nothing i know.. but if he makes 20x3 eevry day thats not bad.
No one does that though. People make a full website for $10. Takes them hours. Though, $10 CAD is probably like $100 countries with a poorer economy
