    they could just start a family but the main oldschool back-in-days reason to marry is to commit to each other or make commitments

    but then those are all corrupted in modern day.. commitments are not held and people have divorce and such so..in this nowaday world marriage is only treasured by certain rightous people/couples
    no reasons for some except to "announce".

    Today marriage is not so in fashion...but there are some who are still believing in it...I'm one of them, because I'm happy having a wife and a family with her:)

    To have a family without being frowned upon in some areas depending on your age. Also, to demonstrate to their partner how far they will go with the relationship, that it isn't just a walk in the park kinda thing.
