Why People Click Google Adsense Ads?

What types of people click google adsense ads? and why they click google adsense ads? Here are some opinions of mine some taken from the Net:

1. people who click ads are the people who dont know that are actual advertisments. They click adsense ads because they just like the sound of advertise link description.

This is main factor of type who click google ads. Generally people (especially webmasters and google adsense publishers) never click Google Adsense ads even if they are much attractive.

I have a site for web masters which owning lowest Google adsense revenue. Traffic not important at this case. Yes.. you know why…. Because this site is for webmasters, not for people who don’t know what is or what for Google Adsense

2. ads provide something that is useful but cannot find in that sites

3. Donate. They know what is Google Adsense for and they click it because they want make a donation to you as appreciation for your great and useful article(s)/services. So build your site with great, useful and hight quality contents

So.. What your opinion about this?

 

If it's me, I click the ads because of it's interesting, and catch my attention. And somehow related to what I'm searching for.

 

In my experience, regular readers don't click as much as ppl who stumble in via search engines - ie. ppl who are actively searching for things. And when they see an ad that highlights that search term (the beauty of contextual!), they'd click on it.

 

search engine and other referral do click more on to ads with ads showing relevant and useful link for them !!

Accidents are probably a big part too.

The only times I click ads is when I'm looking for hosting or things like that. Usually they're the sponsored results on Google.com.

 

I also must agree with mooiness, and I must admit that webmasters do not click much on ads - I know this from myself.

 

Most of the people clicking the ad are unaware that the webmaster is getting some revenue on clicking ads in a site. (Mostly women fall under this category). If you're holding beauty or other health sites (weight loss or breast enlargement), you may land up in huge adsense revenue...

 

i think people don't know thats its an ad and when they will click the revenue will goes to the publisher and adsense pocket

 

I never clicked an adsense ads for a very long time!

 

But don't forgot, Sites that advertise in any system such as G ads , have some thing, sometimes useful, for offer

 

What's that 'some thing'?

 

if i'm looking for something specific and the ad is relevant to me i usually click it.

 

My overwhelming feeling is that ad blindness is going down because people now expect to see ads. Its just like wating TV or listening to the radio, reading the papers. Ads are what allows those mediums to be better.

 

I click the adverts because it may seem interesting, or the banner just stands out to me.

I never click ads to help other websites out.

I do not think this is a proper reason to click an ad. It is very easy to "donate" when it is not you who pays. When I want to "help" a webmaster i simply read its ads: if they are appealing and look interesting to me then i click them; if not-no.

 

I mostly click because it interesting and that ads is the information that what I looking for

 

I got higher CTR from people coming from search engines as compared to regular visitors and those that stumble upon my site from other sources
