Hi guys, I saw a lot of people posting about their paypal got limited. My question is why is it limited? I think if we can share our experience, a lot of people can avoid it.
Why not check out http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=517376 . Someone else started such a thread a few days ago.
One sure way of getting your account limited is by breaking their rules. When you sell or provide services, do not use the Email Payment method but rather use the Buy Now button or the Email Invoice method. Also make sure that for all your sales, you have proper sales documentation such as invoices and physical proof of delivery. Make sure you do not use fake information, photoshop documentation, use a VCC or use someone's elses documentation as your own. Make sure that you only verify your account with your country's bank-issued credit card or bank account. Do not use automated delivery and vet through all your incoming payments. Do not accept payments from unverified accounts or one which looks suspicious. When you do, just refund immediately. Make sure you comply to the paypal terms to the letter. Do not ignore parts which you think is disadvantageous to you.
Mine got limited twice. Once for accepting donations for a site that they deemed "adult" and the second time was for logging into my own account from Japan, they thought "hey, this guy is from the UK, it must be a hacker" so they shut it down until I proved my address by inputting a code from a piece of paper they mailed me (in the UK) which was awesome because I was in Japan for 2 months!
When I travel, I would inform Paypal about it and where I was going to. So far I have no problem with this and a simple email did the trick.
main reason behind is to login from un-supported countries, and second your money limitation exceeds. i also got limited, but due to first reason, and this time I can not appeal again. i lost a lot of my bucks.
