Why Paypal don't do anything about it?

    Hi guys,

    I know many of you do business at SL. Have you ever reported them by subcharging their customers? This is in violation of PP terms and also on violation of credit cards terms. The only ones allowed to subcharge PP are UK users and the ones allowed to do it with CC are California state. They are located in Canada.

    I've reported them to PP and talking yesterday to their support, they haven't done anything because not enough complaints have been registered. :eek:

    What do you think about this?

    I don't want to post their name, frelancers know what it is. Subcharging is passing to the customer the fee they charge.

    If they are charging customers their transaction fee paypal charges then its clearly against their TOS wether anyone is complaining or not, it shouldn't matter.

    SL = ScriptLance i'd imagine.

    Well, I supposed that although subcharging may be against TOS, most vendors who are supporting Credit Cards would inevitably have included the credit card surcharges as an integral portion of the retail price. I doubt that any company would be dumb enough to incur losses because of this. So when they do so, customers who pays by cash would inevitably be paying more because of this.

    I supposed what vendors do here is offer a discount which equates to the credit card charges for those paying by cash and those paying by credit card do not enjoy the 3% discount. That way, those paying by cash would not need to pay the extra surcharges.

    It depends. If they fraud, they'll get Paypal support.
    Honesty does not pay with Paypal.
