I saw many people screaming about getting banned by paypal and ebay. I'm going to start selling at ebay by accepting paymants thru paypal. I'm going to use Virtual Creditcard to verify my paypal and ebay accounts. I want to know whether i'll be banned. Why paypal and ebay are banning accounts:confused:? Someone please explain celarly!!

If you provide accurate information and not fake ones and use bank-issued credit cards and do not break any AUP and comply with the terms of the contracts, you do fine.

Make sure that you do not accept any suspicious transactions or unverified accounts.

Paypal ban accounts because there are members here who comes from countries which are not paypal supported, are underaged or use fake ID like VCC or bank accounts or engage in suspicious transactions then you will face a problem.

if you also receive numerous complains about your account or if you scam other people you'll surely be banned.

Too many chargebacks will flag your account.

A lot of people try and scam, especially when selling MMO accounts like WOW, because (not sure if they are now) online things were not guarenteed by paypal, so you could just respute the charge and get your money back. Not sure if they have changed it though...

Using a VCC for PayPal and eBay wouldn't be the best idea. With a VCC attached to your account, there's still anonymity there and if one or both have a problem with that, then you could lose your eBay account and or have your PP account limited. If you plan on using the sites multiple times you should use a "real" credit or debit card to prevent any negative possibilities.

I've had major problems with both on more than one occasion. Paypal is the worst because it pretends to be a bank when it wants to be, but isn't enforced or put under the very strict policies that banks need to comply with. Both of them are excellent services with flawless efficiency until something goes wrong and you're put up against mindless policies and either customer service robots or customer service arseholes.

Just do everything by the books (as much as possible) and if they take action against your account, be patient, take down all the names and make sure you speak to the right people (supervisors on eBay livehelp, special agents on Paypal).

Paypal can be very very shady. Make sure you read the TOS and if there are ANY questions then make sure you ask, and keep the emails. I had to battle it out with them, and it wasn't because I did anything wrong or because I failed to meet their TOS. There was ambiguity in the TOS and I verified before selling that what I was planning was Legit and within their parameters. They told me it was and I operated for 6 months with nothing, no complaints or chargebacks. Then they banned my account and froze all my "assets" while they reviewed my account for violation of TOS. You then have to go through remediation and it took me two months of emails and me forwarding them their emails and arguing before they unfroze my account. I took my cash and business and left. They still will not completely close my account and are hold my info hostage.

If you want a clean, no hassles system use google checkout if you can. They're actually helpful! I did the same steps, I contacted them and they even looked at my website from the get go and sent me an email stating I was good to go. Used them for about a year before shutting down my site.

    Just my 2 cents.
