It depends on which side of the fence you fall on I guess... I'm poor so I don't have money for links, so I just work to get them. If your rich, like nikitas lol you can spend thousands of dollars on backlinks. Sucks being poor.
Yes I know.. but that only counts when your rich haha maybe one day When you are poor like me, all you can do is work for a better tomorrow. So I try my best.
best way is combination of both paid and free links. as time is most imp factor. you can regain money you lost, but can't get time back. so keep good balance of both to get maximum returns.
I have had very little success with large quantity link building services anyway, maybe it has just been bad luck.
Well I have never paid for any links but at this present moment, one of my sites has sitewide and/or homepage dofollow links from probably the top 15 authority sites/blogs in my niche - I just figured out how to make the most of what was available and planned well
Buying links appears to have its place and clearly isn't an outright no-no. However there is no substitute for hard graft - research, relationship and quality links, focussed linkbuilding from relevant authority sources. Thanks for the useful discussion.
the only way to be given a chance to rank for online poker other than paying for TONS of links would be the worlds best viral marketing campaign..other than that you're right...it's gunna be a long road to success.
viral campaign is good but how can you do it though? I mean.. sure their is ways... but will anyone actually state them?? Give away your real secrets???
I tend to think that a combo of both paid and free would be the best method, Viral in my opinion has to have a place as you can get so many in a short period of time with a good marketing plan.
There are some webmasters who believe that paying for one way backlinks is the best approach. They just don’t go about purchasing any links, only those that are really related to their site and can be seen as a true vote of approval. Usually their aim is for much higher PR and link placement is very important to them and usually they rely on affiliates or own product sales for the revenue. So what I’m trying to say is that, there different scenario and it may not necessarily means that buying links is entirely not a good option.
Yahoo! directory, Business.com. Out of the sandbox and ranking page 2 for a HIGHLY COMPETITIVE keyword in less than 2 months. I am a believer in paid links for competitive keywords.
I hope that my knowledge of statistical based referencing can help others from around the world as it has helped me. How did it help? It allowed me to build www.eautocad.com ; a very profitable project consulting business.
Paid links get a SEO job done fast, however it gets a site off search engine index pretty fast too. Past few years, i have seen websites with paid links getting penalized, or worse banned from search engines. Natural links may be a tedious process, but it is natural and it gets permanent placement results. Think in a long term solution. Search engines ain't stupid, it just a matter of time before they possess the ability to detect different types of paid links.
