    Yes the H numbers go down in size in accordance to importance, h3 being less important than h1. But try to get keyword in h1, h2 and h3 in every post you do on your blog - perfect for SEO!

    Think of the h1 tag as the title of a term paper or book. You only have one title for those, so for your page you would create one main title and then use the sub-headings as sub-titles to break up the rest of your page.

    A very good analogy. H1 is not really the most important in SEO, but rather, an important factor in SEO. Among all other Heading tags (H2, H3, etc.), H1 is the most important because this is the title of your post and is displayed in the search results page.

    h1 tag catches search engine attention first then search engine go for another tag like h2, h3 and bold tag then normal text.

    Heading tags not to be confused with the <head> HTML tag or HTTP headers.
    There are six sizes of heading tags, beginning with <h1>, the most important, and ending with <h6>, the least important one.
    Since heading tags typically make text contained in them larger than normal text on the page,
