Why only few pages are indexed?

My site have over 50 pages. I found 12 pages when I search on all my keywords. How yahoo pick those 12 pages out of my site, not the other pages? Is there anything I can do to get all the pages indexed?

What do you mean by "50% get more links to your site"?

Meaning there is only so much you can do. A lot of it is a waiting game. You can do some by getting more links to your site, but even then there is no guarantee

Would it be better if you get IBL to many different parts of your website? Does it help?

pg20706, you just have to remember the golden rule of SEO: patience.
No matter what you do, you just can't hurry the spiders. They will visit you when they are ready. Just keep on gathering links and adding new content to your site and forget about worrying about how many pages you have indexed.

Yep, keep getting more IBL's and be patient. You can also try adding a site map. This will help the search engines navigate through your site.

Have you tried the site: operator to check if the pages are actually indexed but not showing up for the search terms? Try "site:yoursite.com".

How long has your site been up? Sometimes it just takes time before pages get indexed....

Maybe you guys can tell me if I'm just getting impatient.
I've had my complete site indexed by google and msn.
Yahoo indexed my home page right off the bat.
The site is about 8-10 weeks old. I've noticed that over that time slurp has crawled my other pages only twice (about once a month) but crawls my index page 2-3 times a day. Do I need more patience with yahoo or should I be worried?

I can feel it in my bones... yahoo is going to index those pages any day.
    Right?

I notice that you don't have any sig link. Is it because you don't have enough posts in here or you simply don't bother? I suggest that you display your sig link. Many dismiss the benefit of it, but if I were you, I would display it. Link exchange, directory submission, reward program to get IBL, etc. Sounds cliché, but it will add up.

Any link from a good neighborhood helps, this is a good neighborhood, I don't like people joining forums for that reason but the signatures do help. if you have something good to say, might as well benefit from it :)

I don't have enough posts yet for link in sig.
I do have a solid link from a pr5 page pointing to inner page of my site.

    Maybe a little more time?

You should get more and you should keep acquiring IBL continuously. It's not something you want to stop, wait and hope that things will work out while you don't put much effort.

I've made it a habbit of getting a bl or two every other day, but I havn't been focusing on ibls much. Next week maybe I should take the time that I would have used in aquiring bls to the index page and use that for internal pages?

Hurry up and wait.. and wait..

Over the weekend I noticed slurp hitting my robot file and jumping right into an internal page that had a backlink to it then leaving. When, normally it would check out the index page and leave. Looks like IBLS really are key to getting yahoo to index those internal pages. Thanks.

Are your pages optimized for the same keywords or each one for a different one?

Maybe a filter blocks off too many pages from the same website from being listed in the SERPS for the same keyword?

    Could that be the case?
