Why not to filter ads....

Here some thought about the MFA problem.......

It would probably be the best if nobody would filter any ads....
    WHY????

Wait!!! .... before you scream "IDIOT"

Smart pricing is everywhere... So nobody gets smartpriced after a time...
( its there from the very beginning )
Adsense uses all the available ads and then picks the highest paying ads for some of the keywords on your site.
Becaues google doesn´t only show 4 ads for one single keyword, there will always be lower and higher paying ads...
( using different keyword combinations to determine the right ads )

Of course some ads will be MFA.

By filtering out mfa sites, the new MFAs ( there are new ones every day ) will get the space even cheaper.
( becasue smart pricing will not have to choose which one pays more u get the minumum - no competition no pay )

LETS SAY AN MFA bids 8 cents. You filtered out 200 mfas already, so this specific mfa might get the click for only 2 cents...
Google earns half and you get one cent or less.

Why dont hit MFA with their own weapons....
There are so many of them and if nobody would use his filter anymore, they would always have to pay what they actuall bid....
They would always have to pay the maximum and for many of them the whole thing will not be rentable anymore....

As a result only the MFAs with the best optimacion will survive....
And even that one will not earn that much....

After some time real contenet advertisers will find out how to get those cheap keywords...
Well.... They wont be that cheap anymore....

There are so many MFAs that they would kill themselves if we would allow them to roll over eachother.

Isn¨t the real reason why they survife the fact that everybody uses his filter...

the filter takes up to 48 hours untill it is fully active.
Buying a new .info domain for 89 cents every 2 days in no be a problem.

Of course nobody will be willing to be the first one to stop filtering ads.
Becasue the first one will earn close to NOTHING.
To me it looks like its a not anymore a fight between us and MFA.
It turned into a fight between us and us ( publisher against publisher )
Everybody wants to be the first one to filter out a new MFA site.
The ones who don¨t filter lose.

What if everybody would stop filtering at the same time.

Or if google would just shut down the filtering option for a day to see what happens...

Wellllllll... maybe all this is BS and reality is that nobody will stop filtering MFAs...

    Sooooo

    What do u guys think?????

I think that the ads are displayed not only by how much the ad click will be worth but with the ad's own CTR within the adsense network. If MFA makers are good at attracting clicks with their ad copywriting (and I'm sure they're working on that) then they must have good CTR for their ad, that may be why they appear so often and not because a small fraction of adsense publishers are blocking each a maximum of 200 sites.

I agree with second post. You hit it right on the nose. They make sites that get hits so they get good positions on sites even though they are cheating with low paying and misspelled ads.

Google should make all ads same. No misspelled ads for less or variable keyowrds. All ads should start at a minimum of 5 to 10 cents a click. I have seen clicks ofr less than 1 cent so they pay very little for my traffic if i get paid that.

Google said it wants real sites not adsense sites so how do they let all the adsense sites pay so little.

Right thats also what adsense said somewhere on their blog....

Actually they say that you personal account ( and urls )
remember which ads bring the most income for you and google....
Sometimes mith CTR cometimes with high ckicks...

    Just like what FASTCLICK does...

Works good and reacts fast for those who have 1 million impressions per day.

So for smaller publisher adsense will need more time to gather relevant info.
And once you open up your filter, you acount will have lots of bad ads to try out.....

...which will be showing up for a long time if you don´t have a looooooot of impressions again.

After emailing them they told me at takes up 48 hours for the filter to update and to have the full effect it can be a week or more....

    Thats cus your account learns....

Just like when you use AD-SECTIONS on your site....
( that info is saved at google ad used to determine the right ads.... faster )

So does it take some time for new sites to determine which ads are better for you?

How smartprice works and how you can avoid it?

Given the posts I've seen here, especially related to the optimization email that came from Google, I'd bet that less than half the publishers have anything in their filter.
