My "ad-sence" is ticking. This tread sounds like just an advert.

I've just heard more horror stories about drained budgets and nothing to show for it. I suppose its an option for some but it surely isnt the program you are proposing.

I guess people can judge for themselves.

Essentially it is, although there isn't anything wrong with it. At least "Ilovesuperpages" isn't hiding his identity while he hypes the service. I understand he is getting paid to post so I don't hold it against him.

I have just read endless threads on a different variety of forums about the things that go on there. I've experienced a few myself.

It would be much more effective if a poster we know was to give their positive experience with them although I won't be holding my breathe.

    even better:

and the comment: consider the source! Hey..... I am just making a recommendation. It is your choice to whether you take the advice. this is not for everyone and it works for most. Heck consider the 14 billion that is spent in YP alone. compared to 100 plus billion spent on the post office and direct mail! the internet is even a smaller portion of advertising expense compared to print YP's........ Internet YP's have the lowest cost per call of most advertising..... except for repeat/referral ;) lol

I've used Superpages for a few months now. The amount of traffic is extremely minimal, my conversion rate has been around 1/2 a percent (low). The traffic is cheap though and I about break even, so I leave it up....spend about $15 a month.

not getting paid to post.... if you are in Dallas than I would and could. I am doing this because so many people are not aware of the YP PPC option that exists.... Heck Verizon's only been doin this since March 2004..... thanks to insite, forward thinking and FindWhat's technology!

I think you need to remember... you get what you put into it. I am sure if you provided more specifics I could help with your campaigns.

Cmon now..lets not go down that road. You can't convince me that you just like the service so you thought you would post. I have a lot of experience with scripted posters and I can spot one a mile away.

If you mean cost per conversion you are waaaaay off

Hey guys.... Verizon does not need the advertisement. They spend more money in advertising than any company in the US.

Like I said. There are other options than google and overture.

what do you think works best.

Hey..... look who registered the domain! Only reason I did was because I set up an account on this blog...... I am interested in feedback. I didnt see anything about it on this forum.....so I figured I would post. By the way. My address at home is not hidden.

Yes... I work for Verizon and I like working for Verizon. and no.......Typing this does not help me, besides the awareness it builds for the company. Of course you should already know that local YP reps get paid commission. Can't make commission off this forum. DUH!

And here I was thinking that we were the only forum so lucky to get these advertizements.

I wonder what's the hourly pay rate to spam forums.

on that one I just talk about my car's.

    you are funny.

advertisements.................. well.... I guess you are right. I am sort of advertising it. but heck ..... this whole forum is filled with advertisements obscured by "recommendations". ;) It is inundated with them. so stack this up as another if you must. I like to call it ........strong belief in a product based on fact and experience as well as common marketing knowledge and understanding the buying process.

what i was saying.... if you are a plumber... than yes it works.

if you sell trays for BBQ's or ebay crap than no. common sense here fellas

After my posts here on the subject yesterday, ilovesuperpages called me direct. He was full of suggestions and didn't ask me for squat.

IMO, his call was genuinely sincere.
