why not always maximize clicks?

Hey all, I'm new here, and to adwords in general.

So regarding Flexible bid strategies, I have a question.

Unless you are advertising for branding purposes, what is the point of using any option but "Maximize Clicks"? "Search Page Location" is nice, but at the end of the day, we are here for clicks are we not? So if "Maximize Clicks" gets the most clicks, why use anything else?

We are not here "for the click" but "for the conversions"!

True! I guess i meant, clicks is the what leads to conversions...who cares about page position...just get me the most clicks . So whats the point of Search Page Location instead of Maximize Clicks.

Because sometimes position 3 or 4 to 11 brings more conversions. Or maybe, position 3 brings more clicks that converts than position 1.
    This happens sometimes.

Not pages, ad positions. Top are 1 to 3, and right side are 4 to 11.

This my question. The only logic behind using Target Page Location(higher ad position), is that people clicking in a ad with higher position are more likely to convert...which doesn't make sense to me. With Target Page Location, I'm choosing to get less clicks, but have a higher ad position.

Your ads head line text brings more clicks than position. Like if you advertising
    a product make it funny.
