Why no paypal?

Discussion in 'Payments' started by inomcoke, Aug 28, 2010.

I'm sure this has been asked before but even with searching I could not find it.

So...Why doesn't adsense offer a payout through paypal? Nearly every other online program that has a pay out offers paypal. It would be cheaper/easier for google to use it then issuing checks every month.

Does Google have some sort of competition with Paypal or something?

Why should google allow paypal.... Google is google and dont care much about what people think/want.

The best would have been to allow Direct Payment to bank... that way i would have saved time going to bank for depositing the cheque.

Hope they start directi deposit in India soon

Google Checkout and Paypal are competing websites so it wouldn't be wise at all for Google to use Paypal.

It's not really a matter of competition. PayPal does not guarantee payments. Not all people have their credit cards linked to their PayPal accounts. What if the person runs out of money? Also, PayPal sometimes shuts down accounts. What would happen from there?... I guess there are just too many questions regarding PayPal...

I don't know may be there is some sort of competition and jealousy between google and paypal and one more thing is that paypal is not available in every country of the world. this might be one of the reason

because adsense is google and paypal is ebay, and google likes to do things legally, through registered channels such as citibank, rather than unregistered modes such as paypal who claim they don't need to regiser a s abank, and holds the authority to put accounts on hold and freeze funds without warning. google doesn't deal with companies such as those. they don't have to.

and when you are getting a check, why do you want paypal anyways?
