I know you can search the web for free Joomla themes but the same can be said for wordpress. I was just wondering why I never seem to see anyone posting Joomla themes they have made. Joomla just not that popular or what?

Really? Joomla seems pretty easy. I still have way too much to learn though. But I ended up going with Joomla because I thought wordpress was based more around blogs and I currently do not have a blog on my site.

Yup. i have the same question :)
I love working on joomla. It is really helpful to build a website easily. wordpress is also the best, but it is concerns much on blogs.

wordpress is not just for blogs, it can be anything you want it to be, a classified ads site, a video site, a jobs site, hell, i've even created a games arcade using wordpress, but, joomla can do all this too!

Im not putting joomla down, it's just that wordpress does seem to be the best platform for creating a site these days.

well, it may be because creating a theme for Wp is easier than for Joomla..i am not a coder but I've seen Joomla theme creation guides being sold for $$ but wordpress theme creation guides are free..

I use both Joomla and Wordpress exclusively and love them both... depending on my client's needs and the size of the site determines which one I use... Wordpress themes are easier to create than Joomla themes... Joomla has many more variables to deal with to make it work right... and of course, it's always a "supply and demand" kind of thing... Wordpress is hot and the demand is great right now... so everyone creates themes for that... including myself... ;)

From my experience, wordpress has wide range of plugins and other customizable options, easy to learn and very good support community, etc. Also, wide user acceptance (huge people are using WP) (it is the one decides to design a new theme)
