    if you do a google search for "overnight printing" you will see a result proofprinting, but there is no description, why??

    Thanks!

    Use ( / ) at the end of meta description close.

    i noticed that too, that its not a self closing tag... but it didnt use to be a problem... is it because of the move to html5?

    I think that is due to the lack of meta description

    The same happens when you Google: proofprinting or proofprinting.com

    If you take a sentence from the home page such as "Design your own project or choose from 100's of professional design" and search for it on Google you will not get a result for proofprinting.com. The text used on the homepage is used word for word on several other web sites including blueinkmonkeyprinting.com and 4printersonly.com.

    I would highly recommend writing original text for the homepage as Google hates duplicate content.

    You should also check Google's Webmaster Tools and see if it provides any insight in to the problem.

    I though maybe its because the meta wasnt closed, and maybe that's it...

    But here is the html from google.com:

    <!doctype html><html><head><meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=8">
    <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
    <meta name="description" content="Search the world's information, including webpages, images, videos and more. Google has many special features to help you find exactly what you're looking for.">
    <meta name="robots" content="noodp">
    <title>Google</title>

    Which is also NOT closed...
    You would think they would follow suit too...
    Any other ideas?
