I think twitter have updated their policy and they are checking whether you are using software or not, if you are using automatic software for tweets there is a great chance to get banned quickly.

You should check your proxy softwares too. Perhaps lots of people are using same proxies as you are using.

Are you talking about getting your accounts banned when you try to create them? Or, are you talking about getting your accounts banned when you try to post with them?

If you post with them, are you posting from API or somewhere else?

    Thanks.

If you are posting a lot of links in a short period of time then it's known as spamming. Others that you follow can also report you for spam which will get your account banned.

That is because people like me and my friends, who are on Twitter to share valuable info and to have fun, are reporting marketers and pill-sellers using the "Spam" button. I've spoken to my friends about it and the majority of them always report fake babes and other types of bad followers.

No disrespect meant, webmarketexpert, I'm just answering your question. That's life. Maybe try a different approach - build relationships first and then drop in an occasional offer because if all your tweets are marketing-orientated, you will get reported and banned over and over again!

Are you doing marketing or spamming?

Twitter identifies spam using certain criteria you are probably falling into, that's it.

If all you're doing is posting links towards your product, expect to have your account banned pretty fast. I'd recommend you try randomly updating your Twitter status with common things that people do daily. That'll look like you're a real person and not a bot.

Pretty much sums it up. The fastest way to get me to push the spam button on you is to DM me 2 times in 2 days. Or put a link in your first DM to me, or just DM me at all for that matter..especially if we have never spoken.
Sounds like you weren't marketing...sounds more like you were spamming.

I have been banned by twitter twice. I reason why I have been banned is that I promote my website link on twitter, and seens they don't allow that.

If you use automated tools. Dont use a tool that RELIES ON TWITTER API.. Because its very obvious that it is automated. Twitter API is dead now.. Use it and your account is dead..

I agree mass adding with the API is bad.

Remember that twitter uses a system like craigslist where people can flag you as a spammer. Enough people do this and you'll lose your account. So if you go and follow 2000 people in a single day, and they look at your site and see a bunch of links for stuff, many of them will flag you and the account will be banned in short order.

The best thing to do is appear natural and give people a reason to follow you. Don't post too many links and don't make it really obvious that you're marketing.

i am having the same issue - using a my own software for posting marketing messages with links - now i am limiting the number of messages posted within a period of time - it helped me a bit - my next experiment will be to post marketing messages without any links - which will suck in get in traffic - but at least it will prove the theory that links would get you banned

If you're using bots or automated scripts or have many accounts from the same IP - this might be the reason
