Why my thread was removed

    I bought premium account to advertise Datacol web data extractor software here https://forums.digitalpoint.com/forums/other.24/ (I believe it is the best section to post ad about smth like this http://websiteextractor.net/ ) . Moderators removed the thread. So what should I do now? Should I repost thread to other section ? In this case what section is the most appropriate ?

    As far as I can tell I don't see why that type of ad wouldn't be allowed here, and honestly that's probably the section where I would have posted it as well, but perhaps there is a reason it was removed. Did you receive a warning for it as well, because if you did the reason should be listed. I would say your best bet is to contact a mod to discuss how to proceed.

    Thanks for reply. Actually I`ve got the warning (as far as I remember - it was smth about wrong section thread was published). But nobody told what is the right section. How can I contact the mod here ?

    Wouldn't this come under spamming tools - scraping websites to harvest email addresses - hardly double opt in!

    its like any good weapon. You can defend yourself with it, but you can kill someone as well. Please check Datacol applications http://websiteextractor.net/data-extraction/ . Most of them have no any relation to spam. Thus if person using Datacol want to fill the online store (nothing about spam) and at the same time use Datacol versatility to grab emails for spamming - we can do nothing about.

    so can I start the thread again? Maybe we can provide DP moderator with 1 free license? Thus you can see that software main functions are nothing about spam
