My site is 5 months old. I checked my site ranking with this tool http://link.ezer.com/tools/google_serps_rank_checker.asp and found my site ranking is around 3-5 for my keyword in almost all countries except #101 - 105 - USA** #16 - india #12 - Australia #10 - Canada #18 - UK **My site ranking was up to around #20-22 in USA 3 weeks ago for only 1 week and down to its normal ranking until now. I don't know why. when I check my site ranking in Google DCs here http://www.seochat.com/seo-tools/multiple-datacenter-keyword-position/ ranking in all DC's are #3. My questions are 1. is this something called "Sandbox"? 2. Why site ranking in many countries are so different from Google DC's? 3. Why my site ranking is only down in specific countries I listed above? 4. Why sometime my site ranking in US were up to #20-22 for a temporarily and down again to #100+? 5. How to help my site from this situation? I always built up quality links from relevant sites and frequently updated unique contents but I'm not sure if I miss something. 6. How long I have to wait before my site got ranking where it should be? Please help
Your site is new, I suggest you wait a bit longer. New sites have a New Content Boost which makes their rank in search results very unstable.
u need regional links (from the same place you want to have a good ranking) as well as a regional ip (same country hosting)
Dont Think Your Site Will Rank High In All Country... Search Result Will Be Diffferent In Each Country......... Thats Google Algorithm
If you want high rankings in every country, simply get a metric ton of links. You'd be better off trying to rank highly in whatever country you are targeting.
Google picks the results on regional basis from different data centers, So the rankings are different..
I am facing the same problem, i got 46th rank for "software development" and was improving day by day on Google.com before week ago and now it's on 160th, But in other local se it's works good.
if you want to rank high on those countries.. you need to get quality and relevant links from those location.. for example, you did a good job optimizing your site on .uk related sites .. do the same seo technique to .us related sites.. for sure, it will result different from before..
Sites always rank different for diff search engine countries. Otherwise what would be the point in having a google.com and a google.co.uk (etc)...
this is a very common property of google and it is good i think. Google has a algoritm like, "if a site has a backlink from a US site then increase link popularity on Us search like google.com" I have a site in my signature and the keyword is "malatya" it is a Turkish keyword so my target is google.com.tr .I am generally 3. ,4. or 5. on google major sites like .com / .co.uk / .fr / .de / .tw / co.jp etc but i am 88. on google.com.tr Why, because all my sites and backlinks are English, i tell them on a English forum etc. If i can do this on my language and sites hosted in Turkey, i think i can upgrade the position. It is really bad because when you type google.com you redirect to google.com.tr in my country and all people redirect their own google.) So, i have to influence google.com.tr
You have a good point but I'm still curious because - My site hosted with hosting based in USA - Many of my strong backlinks from a site hosted in USA. But ranking in USA still far away from other countries and even all DC's itself (#3). My site ranked #3 in google.com.tr but ranked #102 in google.com (us). funny
There are many websites that have different rankings in different countries this is due to the different datacenters.
It's normal that you have different rankings in a local search since SE's doesn't guarantee a spot in each and every local SEs. If you really want to target locally or area specific locations, you need to do some localized SEO.
One of my new sites is the same - rotates daily between #4 and #37 on google.co.uk and is nowhere #500+ in other countries. This suits me for now since the site sells UK specific stuff.
It could be because of different servers that get those results for each country have different rankings of your site
It's because of the stupid geo algorithm which is getting so annoying. Let say you're Spanish and looking for something in English, well it's 10 times harder to find it now
