Why my site not "living" in Internet???

3 months ago I have started with site www.bestcookrecipes.com .

And... this is my only achievement.

Site is not in Google. I have a few links, I use link-vault (I have there 70 links at this time). I have done a sitemap. I have exchanged few (about 5 links).

I have 5-10 visitors a day. I am not in Google on phrase 'recipes' and even 'best cook recipes' (even in first 1000). I am realy annoyed :|

    Why? Too much links? Sandbox?

    Can you help?

70 links isn't alot for a highly competitive market like yours.

    To or from??

Now I have PR=4 . I have seen site with this PR in first page of result. But I am not even on 100'th page. Any result. I have 158 pages indexed (most of them is link exchange - but main site is there too).

PS: stumpyPete - very funny ;)

    nicram,
SEO is a waiting game, at the moment Google is one of the harder nuts to crack so to speak. Continue getting good relevant inbound links, continue putting up content. Keep on Keeping on and your site should do fine. It just takes awhile for it to happen. There are numerous tutorials online for SEO, have a go at them.

I know that site positioning requires time. How much time??? ;)

I have one more question. Is "recipes" so hard phrase? I have 200 links to my site, it has this word in <h1>, it has PR=4, I have used all methods that i know, and site isn't in google on phrase "recipes". I have this site 5 months. Is it not enough to be in google? I don't think about first page of result, but my page isn't there at all (even on 90'th page).

I have few enters from msn a day, but NONE from google. Am i banned/sandboxed? Is "recipes" (or other similiar phrases) so exclusive phrases, so I can't make it? Can I do something else?

My site is on server in Poland - is it important to google?

Sometimes it's best to start with niche keywords. Check out a keyword tracker and try to find some phrases that are used often in searches but are not as competitive. These will be easier to score higher in.

As your site ages you will be able to get the more competitive keywords. If your field is highly competitive you will need thousands of links to compete on the best words.

Where your server is doesn't matter.

Any single word will be tough for a new site to get. (unless it's really obscure). But people don't often look for "recipes", they may at first but they will get too broad of returns. next they will go to "Cookie recipies", "Mexican food recipes", "vegetarian recipes" , find the niche that people are searching for that fits your site and optimize for that phrase. At least on one page, choose another phrase for another page. Keep doing that until you start getting the hits you want.:D

Hallo again. My site have now about 40-50 visits a day. Now I have about 20 enters from google but on 'niche' phrases (as adacprogramming said).

I know I have been sandboxed on word 'recipes' (with 'allinanchor:recipes' my site is on 83 position) - I have about 1000 links on link-vault about 100 on other sites (without any links systems).

What should I do to get out from sandbox? I have read that I must wait - is it true? What would recommend me to do to have more visitors?

Hate to say this, but if you have 1000 incoming links then it looks like waiting is going to be the next piece of advice. Hopefully link-vault is not considered spam, thats a lot of links for only 3 months.

You can always use this time to keep adding to your site. The more pages you have the more likely the search engines will find a phrase that fits one of your pages.
