Hi I am maintaining this website - financialwellbeing.ca, I have done all kind of possible optimization, like page meta tag optimization, sitemap.xml creation and also submitted into google webmaster console. It almost 3 months completed after optimization still now not a single keyword ranked on the Google.com. I have checked google.ca, but there also same problem. I have checked google webmaster console for any kind of site error, but every thing is ok there... So I am little bit confused what exactly the problem. Could anyone pls help me to find out the problem... N.B. This site only ranked well on http://ca.search.yahoo.com/, most of the keywords are within top 20. Regards
Its take time but not this much you have done some mistake. So check your tags and page title. And most important try to create maximum no. of possible backlinks which will help in pr as well as in search engine.
Its going to take longer then 3 months. You can expect it to take at least 6 - 10 months to start ranking well in certain keywords. And then expect at least 1 year before you get steady rankings. Ranking well in google takes time, lots and lots of time. Do not expect anything in 3 months.
I got some good rankings in way less than 3 months... it's basically long tail keywords (2, 3 or more words) but it worked out pretty well. Make sure everything is alright in your google webmaster tools console: if you're not ranking and you really have some valuable content, that's the first place where I would go. how's your niche serp? do your really have unique content? or more simply is your website structure/cms making life hard for google..?
If just doing the above meant you can get ranked in search engine results pages for your keywords then we would all have hundreds of websites and be squillionaires ! Lots of people in your situation, who think they can just publish a website and then watch the hits roll in ! You have done NO website promotion whatsover ! You need to promote your website, submit article / press release containing your link, get backlinks from quality directories (no not take shortcuts like using a submission service), add lots of new content on a daily basis, google loves new content and sites that update regularly, write about your site in financial forums and blogs...etc...keep doing this for about three months and you may creep into the top 10 results..keep doing it for a year and you might get a strong position,, there are no shortcuts, do not be tempted by companies offering to sell links or submit your site etc,, they will end up having a negative effect 99% of the time
@webcoolest All you did was on page optimization, it is very difficult for you to get traffic and ranking without doing any online marketing tactics such as social marketing, website promotion and link building.
