why my site lost rankings

i had couple of websites with original content, i built all quality backlinks to it through blog rolls and other good sources,

the site was on page 10, but suddenly dropped to page 24, i dont know the reason, i worked so hard to get sites on page 10,

do you think site will jump back to original or even better position?

i am getting many incoming links from same website and my link is placed site wide on some websites, so do you think many links coming from same domain could be the reason for this?

yahoo site explorer shows that sites have over 100 backlinks,

any advice is appreciated, +reps for good answers

    thanks

You must have heard about google panda update and that is what might be happening to you as well. One of my blog used to receive 300+ unique visits per day from google and now its dropped to about 30UV for no apparent reason. Lets hope this will blow away soon.

What did you in the last 2 weeks, think about it, go back and undo and then maybe you will get back on page 10.

Well there is nothing to worry about. Just continue with the off page work and you will surely see the ranking coming back to previous position or even better.

Make sure you have perfectly on-page optimized your blog. One more thing, it is happening pages are swapping in SERP..But you can regain your position back shortly.Possibly by next Google update.

Does anyone think that getting too many links from same domain could result in penalty?

i have purchased site wide link on one website which is giving me like 100+ backlinks with same anchor text from same domain

    thanks

Is this a relatively new site and are you actively doing link building right now? A site will move up and down while doing continuous link building especially on newer sites. If your site was up in the SERPS for a short time due to a boost in your efforts it may not bounce back without doing more link building. If it was at that position for a period of time it will probably bounce back in a few hours to days.

Build some relevant back links (let it be PR 0), like 15 to 20 more slowly within 2 weeks. You will see your website back to 1st page. This is normal, it happens to me too.

Once I had a website on the second page of Google and suddenly dropped on page 125. After about two weeks later of struggling why the heck... the site was happily back on the page 2. So don't worry, Google does what he thinks is correct. Just continue doing what your doing and the site will be back sooner or later.

Ever since the Panda update by Google, it is just toying with some sites just to check the credibility of them. Some sites have been blasted to the top spot whereas some have dropped below the 5th page. We are all hoping that this will stop soon and your content is, then you can expect to come back to your original ranking.
