Hello a bit of introduction. i had a site A and gave 301 redirect to site B arnd 2 months bac. then a few weeks back I redesigned site B now its a new site. but i find in google webmaster tools it still shows Googlebot last successfully accessed your home page on Aug 9, 2007. I have added sitemap robots.txt everything referred in WMW forum. the new site is coming up in google results with the new meta desc n all..but many of the prev pages are still indexed and many new pages are not indexed. What can i do..some prob with google crawler and the IF modified since stuff. some one help
Google says wait upto 3 months for the site to be indexed/reindexed. If the content or the 301 redirect doesn't change, then it assumes your site is not going to change, and therefore it puts your site to the bottom of the list of sites which need to be indexed. Wait another month, if there is nothing, then go to this URL and submit your site again. ONLY DO THIS ONCE. If you do too many times, google might blacklist your site. www.google.com/addurl ps: Enter the image verification. Rob
You priorly need to increase PR of your site by adding backlinks from other websites. The PR increasing needs 1-6 months. Once your site got high PR, Google regularly be index your site.
Get more backlinks pointing to your website to increase it's value and get more visits by the google bot, other wise just give it more time for your website to get indexed totally.
I think, no need to increase PR just to get crawled frequently. You need to get lot of quality backlinks and create fresh content to crawled often or get links from site that is updated frequently.
if your website is not crawled by the google then you should to get more quality and trusted links and also you should to make update in your website. and also you should to check that your website is seo friendly or not? if your website is complex for bot crawling then this factor is also affecting.
To get crawled more, try adding backlinks and create more unique content... Backlinks have always worked for me
First things first, check your site if you've been banned by google due to the redirections. Then if you're not banned, build more links while waiting for The Big G to index you.
I always give the same response to this question.... 1. Make sure you've created a google webmaster account (google.com/webmasters) 2. Make sure to submit a XML standard sitemap 3. Make sure to link to your XML sitemap on your homepage. 4. Make sure to create a valid robots.txt file linking to your sitemap. 5. Create new backlinks related to your content. These basic things will get you crawled, I do it with all my new sites and it never takes more than a few days to get indexed.
There are two thing to do to be index fast first link to already crawled sites (example forum) and updates your content regularly 'coz SEs love fresh contents..
