Why my site is not shown under Advertisers?

    I've added my site under Publisher category, created an ad format.
    But I've not yet added javascript snippet to my site.
    When I checked in Advertiser's search, my site is not listed in the Financial category

    You sort of answered your own question... you aren't a live site that someone can buy ad space on because you don't have the JavaScript installed yet.

    I want to see some large format sample ad on my site -- to just know how it looks. How can I do it? Will adding javascript snippet just do it?

    You misnterpreted it. I want to see a sample ad on my website. I've added the snippet and now my website is available for advertising. But it's on a joomla CMS and I've set it to display at the footer. I don't know how it would look when the ads indeed start appearing in that position.

    Change your ad format to display a "Your ad here" message when there are no ads to display and you can see what one would look like on your site.
