Why my site is not indexed in google images?

I have a site with funny pictures.
Content is updated everyday. Site do have backlinks and it already receives traffic from google, but nothing from google images. Even no images are indexed in google images.
What is wrong? Why my images are not indexed?

I have already done that what is said there about google webmaster tools.
And laso site is more than one month old. Is that to little?

 

I know you are trying to rank your images, but each of the posts on your WordPress blog contain less than 100 words - some less than 150 characters. Google needs some text to put your images within a context. Just because you tell Google its a picture of fireworks, Google isn't going to take your word for it.

If you have a page about fireworks that Google identifies as such, and that page happens to have pictures on it that are named after fireworks and the alt text on those images says they are fireworks display, it all ads up and Google ranks it.

 

First, you must have a pagerank.

 

I don't think that pagerank affects that, because site with no PR gets indexed in google images.
But what tschrock said could be the right reason and also site is only about one month old.

 

Also, work on your link building, there is big competition on funny pictures so it will take time for you come up.

 

There is no need of Pagerank to get indexed in Google images.
Just wait some time. Usually, it takes a few months for google images bot to index any site.

 

i agree with what Wishbone said...you need to work hard for you to get the top spot...

 

if you want to get index immediately you can try this.

after posting a new content try to bookmark it in different social bookmarking sites preferably the big ones like stumble, digg and delicious.

dont forget upload robots.txt in your site

 

Google image search gets updated differently than regular serps.
It has a major update every 3 months or so. If your site is only a month old, I'd say wait a couple of months, if your pages are indexed in the main serps, your pics will follow in the image search.

 

Make sure you have enough posts, and are posting on a regular basis. Google learns how often to index your site based on how often you post, so give them a reason for their spiders to come to your site everyday.

either because it takes more time for google images or you don't have the alt properties set correctly, or google doesn't see them as being relevant for the search

I think It was in Feb. 2009... A lot of Images of my all Picture Sites were indexed..
