I create some new web sites. And have some problems.

Why my site haven't got high ranking in my target keywords. But got high ranking in another keywords.

First everything is ok! My target keyword is high rank by google search result. But, next 3 week later. My main page and targets keywords were dropped.

And 5 week later I found my inner pages got high ranking with target keywords instead.

well, you must put few things in your mind, first COMPETITION , you must choose low competition keywords for your website check this website : Google keywords tool , second google puts you in high ranking for a while and if your website has much visits or positive feed back they keep you , otherwise they drop you down, also be aware of backlinks , may be other sites are having more backlinks than you over time :)

Thank you for your reply. It is very clearly.
I am very surprised that web page I am not put the keyword but has ranking better than my target page.

I think may be Google tested and drop those target pags.
And another page not tested and has natural ranking.

    Just mu guess

I recommend using Google's Keyword Tool. Type in your main keywords and look at the competition. Chances are your competition are getting more backlinks, a wider audience, and adding more content to their site than yours.

Your competition within the keyword might have done their best constantly to outrank your link. If this is the case, then adding more targeted quality backlinks can help you raise it again to the position where it should appear.

This is a normal thing. I always get a favorable ranking with the official blog homepage than the site homepage. Why is that? One reason I could think, google like fresh contents. Or spiders perhaps. If it discovers a certain area of a website is most frequently updated than other pages within while having the acceptable density and prominence of the keyword being target, will mostly put that page as the most relevant page for the targeted keyword than the intended landing page. So to speak, why not compare the density and prominence of the subject pages. You can use the tool provided at gorank[dot]com to analyze these factors. Remember that kw density should be within 2-4% while prominence should be 75% higher.

Another thing is the backlink. Get some more backlinks to the intend landing page with the keyword it should rank.

You said you created some new sites. You expect to rank at the top of the list in a few short weeks and hold that position. It is not totally impossible, but takes work. If you do not have a lot of backlinks and your site or page is fairly new sometimes you rank well for a little while until google decides the spot for your site or page usually much lower. Some sites have been around for years with tons of backlinks and authority. If you are competing with them it will be difficult to out do them. You will probably need a lot more anchor text backlinks for your keyword or phrase to hold your position in search results or to increase your position. Just keep plugging away at it. Sometimes it takes much longer than a few weeks.

    - How old is your website? Since you said you just created then it is a pretty common for not gain high ranking for certain keyword that quick. It is depend on how devotion of your competitor for that certain keyword as well.

    - Are you focusing too much on certain anchor text? I would recommend you vary anchor text as many as possible, making them look natural. You should aware that too focus on a few anchor text might cause a dropped in ranking instead of pushed them up.
