Hi! all From past 3 weeks my site's backlinks are as it is - not increased and not decreased and i am working on it continuously so anyone can please tell me why its happened like this? and the similat things is happened with my blog its backlink are decreasing..
It happens either your links are not approved by the linking site or yahoo has not updated it database. So first of all check on those sites whether your site has been approved or not and if they are approved then yahoo must not have updated its database so have patience for this.
@Quvincy, what methods are you trying to gather backlinks ? where are you checking your backlinks stats ? have you got a chance to refer if Google bot is visiting your website (chache) recently (ie within last 3 weeks so that you can get an idea if you are going right way. @pabbe: It takes time for all the pages to be indexed. Have patience and you will see the results !!
I think 3 weeks are more then sufficient for getting an backlink update.
I think 3 weeks are more then sufficient for getting an backlink update.
@om3 - It depends on the site where you are building links from. A site like digitalpoint would get indexed in a matter of minutes, while someone's personal blog might take months before the page gets indexed. Also, i assume the tool used to track backlink is of yahoo's - which is even slower...
It won't take that long to have your link indexed. I will usually noticed an increase with several days.
Google takes a long time to update the info in webmasters tools, it's better to measure your efforts by a rise in SERPs.
every you add a link to a page. Book mark that page at a social bookmarking site. that way it will be crawled much faster
There can be one more reason that you are getting links from same IP because links from same IP will counted as single backlinks for google. So check also that IPs of linking website is different or all are on single IP. Thanks
Google updates back links after a long time mostly around 1 to 2 months. So just wait for some time to see the impact. In yahoo you can see the changes rapidly.
Yes, it depends on the site where you are doing link building it the site is not indexed in Google then how would your back links would be indexed in Google? So it depends on the quality of the websites which you are linking too. However, there are also some ways of getting your back links increased using article directories. Suppose, one article posted on any top article directory and the article has quality then it would also be published by other webmasters which would give you benefit of link juice and visitors to your site also. You can also use this kind of natural link building method so that your site's links would keep increasing for the years to come. However, what I have found is today nofollow links are also considered in link building so using article directory would give you natural back links as you are not sure where your article would be posted from article directories the site would be dofollow or nofollow as well, this way you are getting both types of links dofollow links and nofollow links.
Links take a while to appear. That being said, a lot of times they can take a few months if the site or page your link appears on isn't crawled very often. Just wait it out and keep making more is all I can saay.
