    You have to do more off page work and target your main keywords than this will not happen, you will see improvement in ranking do more Social Bookmarking, Blog Commenting, Micro Blogging it will boost up your keywords.

    Agreed. Link building is an ongoing process so you'll always need to be building external links to your page(s). Shoot for more links from higher quality and relevant websites to keep your site ranking well and always be adding new content to your website.

    Check your pages and make sure they are optimized for your target keywords. Also, when building backlinks, make sure to use correct anchor text. Whenever possible/applicable, use your keywords in your anchor text.
