Backup is the best solution to overcome this problem. You must have to take backups regularly to get rid of. Joomla builtin facility will help you in this regard.

Where's the hack is coming from? Is it from core Joomla or from another3rd party component/plugin/module?

Do you use the latest Joomla version? Do you already check all 3rd party extensions that you use - are they hack-safe or not?

maybe your webhost has a backup of your database.. create a ticket from them.. its best, to update to the latest version of wordpress and all of your plugins, they made it so easy now, where you can do it all with a click of a button in your wp-admin.

Firstly you need to keep joomla up to date with the latest version, as generally hackers will first check for old versions of an installed software and find the vulnerabilities for it.
Next you should do an audit of all the add ons you have and make sure they are also up to date. Remove all non essential ones.

Also always backup your data, preferably to another location also.
