Why My Host is Better Than Yours

    I use www.ace-host.net

    My uploading website www.uploadpoints.com was just hacked.
    Luckily I was around to see the website page change.

    I submit a support ticket to my ace-host at 11:18 PM:
    ONE minutes later, my entire account is temporarily suspended to prevent any damage.

    TWO minutes later, I get a response:
    Three minutes to completely lockdown my website -- and to being a sitewide search for harmful files.

    This more than service -- this is slave-like catering to your customers needs.
    Ace-net pwns :p



    EDIT -----

    They responded again, a quick eight minutes later.

    Now THATS god-like service.

    I've been quite happy with Host Gator service. There have been a couple incidents where I was looking for a simple answer to a question and I didn't get the brightest fellow to answer them for me, but none the less no problems or complaints with Host Gator :)

    I have used many hosts in the past and I can say that Host Gator is really good, right now I am using AllureHost they have been the best so far.

    Sorry, lol. I'm just so happy with how good their service is, I'm officially demanding that everyone I know uses it o.o

    You just happened to be lucky when that guy was online, No one can guarantee less than 10 minutes support time. Similar things happened with me on cj, sometimesI received reply within minutes, and sometimes withiin days, there are a lot of unpredictable factors....

    Wow that is quick support! I also think that you are lucky but the situation has been handled really fast by your hosting company. Shouldn't they upgrade their software to the latest versions in order to prevent these situations?

    May be they have a support personnel 24/7?:p. I think if customer's like these appreciate the work of web hosting companies, more and more better service is definately guaranteed. And It also inspire other web hosting companies like ours to improve the service more and more.:)

    I know how the person hacked your server, It's a module called c99 shell which can have access to all of your files. You allow people to directly access files which is allowing them to basically upload anything to your server including files which can destroy your service in less than one minute and it's intraceable.

    People can also use it to send spam on your behalf.

    Don't use that script, and If I were you I'd act FAST.

    The explanation for the quick response is simple!

    Typically when someone is hacked, others on the server are effected - the problem was probably already reported, and therefore they were prepared for incoming mail. Plus - the operator was viewing the system right as you sent in a report - happens more often than you'd think.

    There are a lot of factors that determine a response time. In this case, you were lucky.

    However, suspending an account AFTER it's been hacked doesn't sound like good service to me - good service would be preventing the server from being hacked.

    Lol, sillies. It isn't luck.

    They have a 24/7 support team.
    Even with a support ticket with the lowest priority setting gets answered in roughly 5 minutes for me.
    Their average response time is way less than 10 minutes.

    First thing came to mind was this is in the wrong section of Digital Point and I still think that. Second of all, there is no real value to this post whatsoever other than aimless promotion to another host. They are a good host and all because of my brothers review of using it previously.

    That's pretty remarkable turnaround support for ANY hosting company. Not sure how typical it actually is though.

    I use TmzHosting and they are pretty fast.. I get my ticket replied within 30-60 mins.
    I have daily backups and my templates and all files stored on Rapidshare as well as MegaUpload + My Local Server.

    Well,
    Change the Script your using now or disable PHP File Type Upload,
    If a hacker is reading this.. He can easily upload c99 shell which is a PHP file and hack it again.

    I'm sure it was just luck the support person was there. I must admit that was pretty fast support. All my websites are backed up daily so I'm not worried about information loss because I can go back and restore it to back like 12 hrs with minimal or no loss at all

    I also use ace-host. They are fast with responses 24/7, 99% of the time it's 10 minutes or less.

    I use Dreamhost. I've been with them for almost 3 years now and have no problems to report :) They always seem on top of upgrades to teh services they use too.

    Their idea of using Google Mail instead of the in-house mail change recently seemed pretty dumb, but I can choose not to use it, so no harm no foul :)
