Yeah, I'd love to try Mac. Unfortunately I'm a victim of the system. Work use all Microsux stuff so I'm stuck with it. I have to be compatible with them. Both Mum and the Father in Law use mac and love them.

One day the people will rise up! No they haven't set a date yet but it will happen!

OK, if anyone else is having this problem, here's the fix.

    Go to http://www.softpedia.com/get/Office-tools/Other-Office-Tools/PowerPoint-Viewer.shtml

and download the powerpoint 2007 viewer. (You wouldn't believe it but the link for the 2007 powerpoint viewer on microsux's sit doesn't work. How funny is that?)

Then go to http://windowsxp.mvps.org/ppsopen.htm and download the fix. Inzip it and run it.

    Now all is well.

And again this proves my point. I had to google for ages and go to 2 sites that are not at all related to microsoft to fix a microsoft problem. Hmmmm.

I'll say no more. Thanks to all those who contributed.

You are most likely thinking of Mozilla Thunderbird.

Another alternative to your problem (much faster than downloading any software) would be to visit http://www.mail2web.com. Mail2Web is quick 'n' easy, and does not require you to enter in any SMTP information. Much better than Outlook Express. ;)

Google OS will run on their servers and part of the ToS will be that they get to do whatever they want with your data...

Broswers cost a $100 before Microsoft started giving them away. Microsoft Office was great when it first came out. Just for Word Perfect, DBASE, Lotus, Havards Graphics you were talking $1200 back in 1992

Yeah today there are a lot of alternatives but microsoft isn't so bad.

I'm a purely Windows shop, and I love Macs. But... all they are is an overpriced Wintel box. I don't understand how Apple can get away with charging so much for hardware that's nearly identical to the $400 Dell computers you can get at Walmart.

Cool idea... the only we need to confirm these manipulators are looking for full monopoly control dominated by MSN for years.

Windows XP = best platform ever made (in my humble and controversial opinion)

Try running Visual C# or Visual Web Developer on Mac... Or try running Exchange server on Mac

I dunno... Just a thought but basically anything someone can do on Mac...I can do on PC/Linux

Again, this is my opinion...please don't kill me over it >.<

    lol.. The joys of people.

There is nothing wrong with calling one of the most complex technology peices on the earth today hard to control. The greatest minds in the world work at Microsoft and Apple (I have nothing against Apple)..

Windows = Has to be developed for.. Let me see.. Roughly around 10,000 different hardware setups.

Apple = Has to be developed for maybe 5.. Because you can't use anything custom with Apple.

Windows = Has to be developed for the mass public. Generally not good with computers.

Apple = Has to be developed for the smaller public.. Who are generally good with computers.

Sad thing buddy.. Other than the fact you wrote this hate letter on a windows machine.. Or it went through one somewhere :p..

If Apple was in Microsofts position. It would be exactly the same. Just it isn't.. So I shall wake up every day to see somebody complaining about his windows dying because his Nvidia which he bought at the store decided to crap out. Or his kingston custom memory crapping out and windows bsod.. Or his game which is windows solo dieing.. Or he got hacked by a windows user. Or blah blah blah..

I've heard it every day and I will continue to hear it until I die.

PS. Most of the time it isn't Windows.. It's the hardware.

    Enjoy your Windows!

PS. Google would fing suck at making an OS.. It would be extremely lame and probably restricted to Google.com and filled with Google ads. No OS will ever match what Windows has become. So get over it and move on. I wish Linux OS would grow.. But it is just too confusing atm for the average user. Apple has a nice OS.. But it isn't that hard when you restrict the hardware down to 3 peices.

My problem with MSN (hotmail) is that I easily lose the ability to access my email account in a few days or weeks of not using it. I never experienced that with Yahoo and Gmail.
