Oh man live messenger. onehtingisi i love mac and all i cant use instant messaging on it.Use my pc for that.Mac versions are jsut so crap.
CONTROL or who knows, maybe a security thing huh, I didn't realize YIM spanned to the MSN contacts!! Regardless I just switched to Trillian in part just so I didn't have to jack with MSN anymore!
Microsoft didn't force you, you took the option of using there network. its just like hosting - Customer- " WAAAAAAAWAAAAAAA YOU CHANGE MY WEBHOST CONTROL PANEL " Staff Member - " Greetings, Maaaaam. We upgraded your control panel to the latest, secure control panel for your piece of mind " Customer- " oh ok then, thank you "
I don't get it, It's their OS they should be able to do what they want with it. Tou don't see apple getting sued for not including support for .exe's, despite that being completely Unfeasable, But lawyers don't think in these terms...
ya...i hate it as well.....I was using the older version, one day 1 log on & so idiot I was forced to upgrade to newer version which is quite sluggish compared to earlier version....
Just in case you still want to know why they force us to use an MSN vesion we don't like: they are a monopoly - or, at least, they think they are...- and they behave that way. I am glad to know that more and more people avoid using their hideous new versions!
They always try to force new prododuct of microsoft. It's truely business. When you update to new software then you need to update for new hardware, this is endless man. But you have to go with flow.
Use Msn Messenger and not Live Messenger... Or you could look into getting a different messenger service. A good one that I use is Skype. It is easier (personally) and has a few more features.
I don't see a need to switch to mac, or switch to yahoo messenger (which sucks). You can turn off the popup. And you wouldn't see lag from loading a tiny ad unless you have a really crappy computer.
Windows live messenger works fine for me. Not a problem. It is the one piece of software from Microsoft that i can say is my favorite to use....other than MS office 2007 which is fun.
