Since I got into affiliate marketing a couple years ago (when I was 17), I have learned web design (which you can make alot of money doing alone), copywriting, working on a commission-only basis, and countless other skills that are becoming specialized trades (ie. Its well paid for those who can grow plants on stone; meaning who can make impossible possible. Most of the marketing people are fake; they can't deliver what they say. And the good ones thats why get paid better. Just my 2 cents.
