I was wondering this myself, from the perspective of a non-Twitter user. I recently got an account so I could tweet new blog posts when I wrote them, so I guess that's why I use Twitter! Other than that, I follow a few people who post things relevant to my work, so it's useful as a human-curated (possibly!) content aggregator.

I agree with Mega B. I know many people, who earn high ROI on twitter. The communication and right audience is key, I think.
