Maybe I dont really fond of autometic software just because i have a low database of directories in it. (about 30 or less) I think iw ill use its semi-automated function, put more dirs myself and start submit again.
Manual submission is best, caz you are doing it by hand knowing where to put the correct information. Automatic software, they make lots of mistake, caz all directories are not same. Also By manuall submission you get confirmation email from directory. but autoamtic submission, you dont get. so manuall is better.
Is there some sort of parallel universe here? Automated software is bad but manual is crazy when there's semi-automated software that does the hard work for you and every directory listed fits into it's software credentials.
Semi-automated just makes the most sense. Have software do all of the work for you, then you check it. If it is right, then you submit, if not, you edit it. perfect for all of the easy ones, and acceptable for the unique directories.
i'm also using the semi-automated strategy with Roboform. But i guess with semi-automated, you will not be able to cover as much ground as a fully-automated one. That is the main benefit i guess. Besides, really don't see what you have to lose besides some $$$$ upfront.... if some submissions fail, u can always go back and submit it manually isn't it?
dude, just enter the words 'informenter' on G and whalaaa! http://www.google.com/search?q=inFo...s=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
the main point is i dont use firefox.. I'm using Chinese Explorer called "Tencent" Even i can not read chinese but most fucntion are exactly the same like IE but just more convenient in term of multiple windows display. I used to tried firefox but not really like it. I guess in order to make more links to my site i have to use it again. T_T
umm after read the description of the add-on I got a question. how can inFormenter will help me to building the link? as they said "InFormEnter adds a small, clickable icon next to every input field in a web form, from where you can select the item to be inserted - no typing required. You can configure it to display your frequently used information such as name, email, address and whatever else you want to be available from the form menu." it sound more like a auto-form-filling function more than link builder fucntion. or you mean i can use informenter as semi-automated software when i do site submission?
Your so wrong . At first I thought InFormEnter was very good for the job until I used RoboForm. If anything combine these both since the Free Version of RoboForm may fill up to only 3 fields automatically. If your going to have the "manual submit all the way" mentality---the best solution is to use a directory tracker with RoboForm. I also heard theres another FireFox plug-in similar to RoboForm but more suited to do directory submissions. From what I've seen, this is the closest to replicate the process of a semi-automated software program.
I always submit manually because of only 1 reason-- I keep on changing my description and title with each submission
I change mine too, btu not because I want to so much as because I'm never satisfied with what I write!
Yes but there are tools already doing this, the software in my signature Website Submitter allows you unlimited anchor text (descriptions) and unlimited descriptions. At the submission time the application is automatic-random selects one of the descriptions and titles.
so my method might be different from other, I use SEO program to do seo onmy tilte and meta tags, then i use automatic software to submit. about the page I do manual edit then wait for SEs to crawl my site. that's why i said i used both methods XD
YMC didn't mention anything about typing manually by hand. I think by now, most manual submitters have learnt the art of copy and paste.
Thank you, I couldn't have said it better myself. I use a spreadsheet. Keeps track of titles used, directories submitted to, and provides the ability to cut/paste. I can easily make changes to descriptions to improve or simply not reuse them. My point about using Rob's deep link mod as an example and my extra field is that the trend in directories is finding new ways to be unique and offer more - any automated tool or semi-automated tool is only good until the next innovation.
Manual submission is better than using software (if the software submits wrong information in the fields) Software submission is better than manual submission (if the software submits the correct information in the fields without fail) In the latter case use Roboform it rocks!
Can anybody explain how to configure Roboform to make it work like semi automatic directory submitter software?
first question are you using firefox? If yes click here to install add-on If no click here first to install firefox then click above link about how to make it works, dont ask me
