For August month for the keyword "joomla templates" we were ranking in 8th position. The very next week I found that the keyword was not ranking inside the first 500 positions. Till now i am facing the same issue:? Not only with joomla templates i have similar issue with couple other keywords like Html templates, Oscommerce templates, Website templates membership, Html website templates etc. At the same time few keywords like Business Website Templates, Business Web Templates, Membership templates, Software Templates were ranking in the same top position and they have not dropped yet. I am just wondering why this major difference. Because of this ranking difference we lost almost 60% of the visitors while comparing with august month traffic. Advance thanks for your replies.
the answer is very simple your site was probably sandboxed for the keyword or may be you were bombarding google for that keyword just mail me and i will help u personaly without any charge
you should use some higher pr social book marking site such as digg, del.icio.us etc for particular keyword, sure your ranking will be show in search engine.
sorry to hear that. it sounds very bad.. maybe you experience what is called sandboxed by google because you aggressively hitting certain keywords in a short period. well, the truth is nobody has any clear idea about how to get back from google sandboxed. Maybe you could join google webmaster forums and make a thread question about it
Some time you don't do quality work to get good ranking. If you would like to get your ranking back then you need to do website analysis according to search engine optimization guidelines.
It's impossible to give you "good" advice without first knowing the exact URLs and the keyword phrase(s) for which each were ranking. Providing the URL would give us a place to start researching. The way you've posed the question, it could be 1 of a million different things and everyone is just going to continue to throw out wild guesses rather than some type of educated guess based on the facts as they exist in your particular case. You may as well have posted, "My site lost rankings. Why?" It would have been just as effective (err... ineffective) as the question you posed.
Hi Suman, Its a good discussion here for all Webmasters handling site. Its not an easy factor to analyze this situation. If the target pages are new then some times your page will appear top in google for few days even for a month or more, after some frequent crawling your page may be sandboxed by google, I think you are aware of this. This may happen for new pages... Then, its your Backlinks.. Incase if its a new page and you are building frequent links for that page then make sure of building links from a quality site and not spamming or unrelated links.. Check your backlinks for that keyword and try to remove the unrelated and spam links... Its an Important factor that Bots will also consider the age of the website, which will leads to the first thing if the age factors. One more important factor is that you want to check the page title. You should not change the title at any cost during Optimization Phase. If you change the Meta title suddenly then there is more chance to disappear from SERP. You should build proper title while launching the page with proper description. If its the case then it may take some time to come back to its original position may be even months... Check your Meta Titles first ,,, If you have changed it.. let it be.. I have one personal advice.. I can say if you contact me regarding this... I am happy to share this with you... I experimented this issue.. In this case just stop building links now and analyse the things, once its cleared then build quality links and dont go for immediate link building activity.. You always need more passion while doing SEO and even getting a single link matters...
