    It's necessary for the keywords to be on top of the SERP to get more visitors from search engine.

    Are you asking for meta keyword? Well, I don't care too much about meta keywords anymore, instead I am more focus getting backlinks with spesific keyword as the anchor text. It's more effective that way I guess.

    Any other opinion?
