If it wasn't for religion these two groups may have simply merged into one and lived happily ever after. We might be calling them Israelistinians by now.
I won't argue with that. There are more people that hate Jews than there are that accept them. That much has been proven long since someone made up Islam.
I'd love for a Muslim member to refute this claim. I don't have an opinion in the matter. Do all muslims hate jews based on their teachings?
I didn't pin that belief to you, sir. I was actually asking out of my own curiosity. First, let me ask you why you made that remark. And second, I'm not making a point.
You asked "Muslim" members to "refute that claim", and quoted my post. I made no such "claim". That is why I said that. My belief is that there are more people that hate Jews than do not. My claim was that it has always been that way, even before Islam was invented. That is not to say that every Muslim feels that way, though Islam teaches that. Not every Catholic thinks they should abstain before marriage or stay away from birth control. Not everyone is practices their faith verbatim. However, the reality is, in all religions and every race there are more people that hate Jews than do not. That's something that has been historically evident for thousands of years. Christ himself was a Jew and was murdered by people who hated Jews. My problem with your post is the fact that you have quoted my post and attempted to garner a reaction to an interpretation of something that was never said.
That's what I wanted. What do Muslims have to say about these teachings? Don't be so defensive, I had no intention of attempting to do anything negative.
You're going to have a hard time getting that answer here. For one it is a whole other thread. Number two, most of the people here that claim to be Muslim have not even read their own holy book. No problem. I just did not want my post construed as having implied that all Muslims hate Jews. My contention is that more people hate Jews than do not. And this includes all races and religions. Hell Henry Ford himself was a Jew hater pre-WWII.
Doubtful. Though without US intervention, I believe Israel would have taken a more direct and swift action. I think the fact that there is a transition in power here in the US has played a major role in their decision to move ahead and begin targeting Hamas. Its not like Bush is going to make them stop at this point, and Obama hasn't a clue how to begin to ask them to stop. Either way, they are quite justified in their action IMO. If my neighbor started lobbing thousands of bombs at me after I gave them land, I'd be a bit perturbed as well. Israel has every right to defend her citizens. Especially when the regime in control the and those that back them are hell bent on the destruction of Israel and nothing else.
Actually Palestinians and Israelis already get along and work and live together side by side. They have for years. There are thousands of Palestinians that work in Israel. Its Hamas, and other terrorist groups that are the problem.
Because it was a Hamas Qassam rocket manufacturing facility. A Hamas outpost. A center for weapons research and development and a Hamas storage facility of those weapons. Let's try to get our facts straight here. While at first glance it looks like Israel was targeting a place of higher learning, truth be told it was nothing more than a front for another Hamas controlled stronghold. Hamas has a habit of hiding amongst the shield of the civilian population. That's how they work.
Very true. We've seen this in modern times, where muslims in conflict use what some might consider "holy sanctuaries" to store bombs, weapons and actually fire from these. For example, mosques. The uninformed infidel might think "man, how terrible, they are even bombing their religious outposts," which is the exact sort of sympathy terrorists prey upon, but in fact, they use these places to conduct war and hide behind their operations for this very reason. We saw this in Iraq, with al sadr's group conducting war operations from a mosque.
And it is very important that it be duly noted to those that claim Israel is breaking some international laws, or committing war crimes, the following applies. According to international law, armies are not permitted to hit civilian targets such as hospitals, homes, schools and houses of worship unless the sites are also being used as military bases or launching pads. Which in this case, they most certainly were.
Good point. I was not aware of that. Of course, hamas and other terrorist groups don't care about international law or Geneva conventions nor do they follow them. The only time they raise these as issues, is when they want to hold their enemies to those standards or launch an outcry (read: crybabies) to get international sympathy for their horrendous crimes. hamas doesn't fight in uniform, they launch rockets indiscrimantly into Israel and have no regard for whom they might kill, as long as it is Jews. They even bombed an Israeli kindergarten yesterday. The troubling part is, we often hear the mentally confused argument that "but, but, but Israel is killing more than hamas. hamas rockets are not killing anyone." But we all know hamas' rockets, from iran, do in fact kill. I've often contended that it's not because the desire to kill as many Jews as possible on the part of hamas (because their own charter makes it clear they intend to kill every Jew possible), but rather that they are so dumb and unskilled, they simply can't figure out how to fire them accurately. The other disturbing part about that senseless argument we see is, that it could easily show on the part of the person making the argument that hamas' rockets don't kill as many, that they are disappointed the rockets are not killing more. Speaks volumes about those making those arguments.
they hate each other, I'd been to Israel I have seen it. I have lots of story but I'm not going to get into it here. have you been to Israel? have you seen how they react to each other it's not good.
And why the Hamas put bombs in schools and zoos? watch - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHhs9ihSmbU&feature=channel_page IDF did smart thing this they- they filmed everywhere they bombed, and why.
