I agree, the revenue sharing might be an issue?

I also think that Shawn just isn't that concerned about squeezing that next 20% out of DP.

I couldn't be certain but I'd be guessing there would definitely be some perks, maybe the publishers gets a bigger slice of the revenue earnt from the clicks.

    That’s probably true.

And it's not only about impressions but unique visitors as well, Dp might be lacking in that regard.

IMO, dp point is a premium publisher.
But as this is a webmaster forum, it makes sense for google to build their brand by having Ads by Google on all the ads.

I think that notorious $10k that shawn gets per month from google is partly for displaying ads by google on his ads, so google gets a bit of advertising itself.

Theres no way dp gets under 20m impressions per month.

Well that's obvious: the revenue sharing hack! :)
I'm sure if Shawn single-handedly pocketed all the money and impressions, he'd be eligible to become a premium publisher! :D

And...I bet if he put AdSense on the DigitalPoint.com website pages, he'd definately become one soon enough.

i think still dp is not qualifier because it has less page impressions.
though dp alexa rank is very good because it is popular and webmaster related. :)

Being a forum, the CTR is extremely low. Even with the traffic, google would probably decline an application for Premium publisher for DP. Just not enough clicks to justify it. But thats just my conjecture, i'm only guessing.

And i doubt they care about the rev share thingy going on here.

And with how the revshare system works here, if Shawn was a premium publisher, only his portion of ads shown would get the benefit. When ads are displayed, half the time my adsense publisher id gets used (in my threads) and the other half Shawns is used. So no, I would not become a premium publisher by default (if DP was premium)

Effectively the DP traffic gets cut in half as far as Adsense see's it. Not really half because not everyone on the forums has joined the rev share program. But is significant. So there may not even be enough traffic to apply for premium.
