Why is Yahoo quicker than Google

Google is quicker to index, but Yahoo is quicker to rank. It will take several months to get a decent ranking in Google.

 

Google is only some time not faster
other wise mostly time its better than any other search engine

In my experience google is faster than Yahoo. I don't know actually which is faster but most people claims google is faster.

 

Sometimes, Yahoo, Google, MSN surprise each other by being the first ones to index a site.

 

I've had sites that i could get to the front page of google pretty fast and take forever on yahoo.

 

Yahoo is much faster, they index everything including nofollow but google only index those dofollow

 

Yahoo is faster because they have fewer servers and google have a host of server and bots to go around. I think its due to the reason that google bots do their ranking base on other directories/bots reading. Where as Yahoo does less of it.

That's the difference between the two.

i don't agree. Sometimes google quicker indexed than Yahoo for new site. But in other times, Yahoo quicker indexed than Google.

 

I think it just depends on the situation, it can be different each time, I guess it just depends on what bots are traveling where and what not...

 

Search Engines index a page quickly when they find a link to it from a good ranked page. You submit your page to social networking sites and see. You will find it indexed in 1 day.
