I noticed on your site that you put an all rights reserved symbol next to the acronym SEO. Are you sure about that?
youre still sticking to the one year old thing are you? ok what about this one then is it in the supplemental index? the sbs sniper site is not yet 4 weeks old. SEO Design Packages Small business seo web packages SEO Sniper
SEO Sniper is only 5 or so page site, all five pages are out of the supplemental.... add more than 10 pages and Google will only let around 10 out of the supplemental index until around the 6-8 month mark.. I did not say the index page would stay in the supplemental. I could show you what I am talking about as far as domain age/trust, but not will not put the info in this thread as it would give access to all my work.
Backlinks baby backlinks... We recently purchased a site (1 week ago) and started to build backlinks and did some seo work and now its already coming up for some great keyword terms and gaining more and more visitors daily. thx malcolm
I would have to say it's also their backlinks. and the keywords they used in their meta tag are both common and uncommon keywords. One factor would also be their website design. some of their page visits might be web developers who are just checking out their website.
i concur absolutely. if there is a domain age factor, it is very small and very easily overpowered by a good link or two.
Domain age is very much a factor, for quite obvious reasons. First, it takes time to get backlinks to a website. Secondly, Google has added historical factors to their algo, including link acquisition rate. However, that said, domain age is probably nowhere near the most important factor. If you have pages in the supplemental index it's because they're low content pages without backlinks. Simple as that.
i bolded the critical part of your statement. its not the age of the domain, its whether its old enough to have acquired sufficient linkstrength to rank for what you want yet. it is not because Google are saying this domain is too young to rank yet.
Domain age plays a part guaranteed....one two or 100 links won't beat a site that's grandfathered ( those usually over 10 years old). has had proper SEO and still has it's natural links that are also years old. As for new sites ranking well its simply a flaw with Google due to the fact new links need to bring important sites to the top for news and information purposes. Once Google scores the new sites links, it devalues those it finds irrelevant or artificial, or places a filter and your site falls back out....... Some good thoughts in the thread, except wanting to rank well for SEO...that is going to prove a burden more than bringing in business... You will get a ton of emails asking to rank a site for viagra #1 and with $100.00 budget for the year....good luck with that lol....
