Why is this site approved by Google AdSense?

I just received a pingback from this site, and looking at it, I just don't understand how it can be approved by Google AdSense:

http://vegetarianspark.com/you-are-what-you-eat/ ((link to the post I received the pinback from).

I don't know much about Google AdSense, but to me, this looks like garbage :)

All the text it uses are mine :)

Are you talking about the pingback?

I just received information that another blog has linked to my post, no reason...

That's just a "splog". Scraping contents from other blogs, with no real content itself. This kind of blogs are just made for adsense or other ad networks, or a gateway to another site. I remember the first time i realized my content was being scraped by a splog (at the time i didn't even know what that is), i freaked out (i thought the author copy-and-paste my contents straight on, didn't know it was from rss feeds). But then i learnt to always turn off full content feeds and only allow summary feeds instead.

Maybe for the least you can do something about that: http://www.fightsplog.com/take-action.php

BTW, i don't think the guy applied for adsense with that splog. I didn't check his pub-id but i bet he's had his adsense account for some time.

you should always just show part of your content in feeds so that the reader will need to come to your site to get the rest of the post thus exposing them to your ads or affiliate programs. Adsense doesnt really care if your site is crap or scrapped and has all other peoples content however google as a search engine does and that site will most likey never get a good page rank or get high enough on the serps to make any money.
