Why is this an infraction?

I received an infraction from a moderator for a thread located in the link sales area: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=451151. I don't understand why my second post would receive an infraction. I see others posting to their auction threads all the time to give updates as to who is currently winning the auction. I have not abused the system and made a lot of posts to this thread, in fact I went out of my way and IMed two people that made bids to clarify if they wanted a signature link or an avatar.

Why give an infraction for "bumping a thread" when this kind of activity seems to be perfectly fine in other threads on the same section? And if a mistake has been made by a mod, why is there no way to follow up and ask the person that left the infraction to clarify why they believe it was OK to give an infraction for just this thread when it happens on so many others in this section?

If my second post was an infraction and wrong, then why are these second posts by thread creators in the same section not given infractions either?

It doesn't make much sense to me.

Now u will receive another infraction for starting this thread.

How do you know if other's receive infractions for there posts or not. You can't see there's. Quit complaining coz thatz not going to fetch you anything. Instead learn from them. Stop making thanks posts. You can very well send them a thanks in a PM. I don't know the exact reason specified for issuing you a Infraction but i suggest you to quit complaining.

It could be that yours was reported and the others weren't - yet :) The moderators obviously can't read every single post.

That'd be funny. Alot of people update their auctions. Guess you were just unlucky.

You received an infraction for a bumping your thread. If you check the bumping sticky found in buy, sell and trade you will see the type posts subject to bumping infractions. Your post comes under the following categories

    1. "Thank you." posts. (Thank you messaages can be put in a PM.)
    6. Posts restating info found in post above or previous posts such as
    High bid now $30.

As AutumnBreeze stated, we can not read every post.
