It is a PR 4 because it has an inbound link from a PR5 page http://www.greenenergy.uk.com/CustomerLinks.aspx

A possible reason it is not appearing for the search term "showers and bathrooms" is probably through lack of inbound links. But do not take my word for it as I have only had a brief look at the incoming links and on page factors.

One thing I did notice is that the title tag is very much optimized for local search and whilst this does not necessarily mean that you will not appear on the first page for "showers and bathrooms" it is however less likely.

Looking at the first 10 results in google I can see that all of the titles for those sites do not mention anything about a location.

Hope the above makes sense and is of use to you.

geopoint got most of the points.

One area to improve is the include more text on the page. Their images aren't tagged with alts as well..

I have seen a PR6 blog, with update only once a month. And there are two months with no update because the author deletes the blog posts. But that PR6 blog gets inbound links from Reuters, PR8.

PR has nothing to do with rankings, one high PR link can get you high PR but can't rank you higher.

    Hi there,

There can be only reason that his site might be getting good traffic but he didn't concentrate in keyword optimization as well as SEO.

Just for the purpose of obtaining higher page rank, people may buy high pr links. But having higher PR doesnt equate to getting high amount of traffic though.

Hey dude, PR not so help if you want to get TOP ten rank on that keyword (showers and bathrooms). That one and short keyword. Difficult to get that, all you do is Onpage SEO and OffPage SEO.

I have had PR4 subpage with the quality content of "under construction".

In my experience PR shows where you are in the food chain. Higher PR shows higher importance, not necessarily with higher traffic. PR shows the Google's indexing intention. Higher pagerank sites all better indexed.
