In the freezer, if there is bulb it is also gonna freeze up. :D
Also, people put things in the fridge only thus a light helps to find out them.

I agree. I think the bulb would freeze up in the freezer. As it got hot and then colled down, it would also attract condensation and that would cause problems for the bulb.

There's no light in freezer because bulbs might crack in extreme cold conditions.

Wrong. There is no light bulb in your freezer, because you have a crappy freezer. :)

In fact, I had to replace the light in my freezer a few months ago because it burned out.

Mhhh... got a new freezer recently. Pretty economic and has a very nice light. If you don't have light in your freezer it's time to upgrade

sorry i don't think the freezer is considered extreme cold conditions and it doesn't take much below 0 degrees for ice to form. By the way my freezer has lights in it as well. So you failed and/or you have an old fridge

You are wrong, A freezer's inside is an extreme cold condition. On my freezer I can set the temperature to as low as -23 degree centigrade and it has two lights and the height of the freezer is about 5 feet 8 inches.

-23 is extreme? you can set it to -23 doesn't mean it cannot be functional if its -15 or -10 does it? And are you talking about a full size freezer or the freezer from the fridge like the OP is asking

And OP, wtf are you agreeing? Your freezer doesn't have lights whereas hdwills' does

I am talking about a full size freezer, the one you use at home, not the freezer compartment of a refrigerator. What do you mean by

"you can set it to -23 doesn't mean it cannot be functional if its -15 or -10 does it?"

you must have an ancient old school freezer then. i have lights in both

temperature doesn;t mean anything when it comes to light bulbs. there are light bulbs that functions at 550 degree like the oven and there are light bulbs that works during extreme cold as well like the ones in the front and back of my house. in canada, outside temperature during winter is lot colder than the inside of the freezer.

Both my fridge and freezer have lights. Buy a better one if yours doesn't.
