Rules Why is there a board for the ODP/DMOZ?

There is a new sticky in the ODP/DMOZ forum which has me perplexed as to why it was added...

If those are the new rules for that board, then why even have the board?

No one can help you get your site list? Then why have a forum dedicated to the place?
Can't hire people on DP or hire people in that board? Other sites gladly buy & sell links (which I strangely enough once got an infraction for pointing out *boggle*)
Can't get your site listed? Want to know why? Well, but the gods do not ask in a forum dedicated to the place... you'll get spanked! So again, why even have the board here on DP?
The editors are a HUGE part of the ODP, not bringing them up leaves what to be talked about on the subject... again, why have the board if no one is allowed to discuss the topic?

What types of threads are now allowed there? Seriously? The board needs to be closed...as if we can not talk about the bad and the ugly along with the good, then that is shedding the ODP in a REALLY REALLY false light.

What is more constructive?
YAY I GOT MY SITE LISTED IN THE ODP! ~~ Which is allowed and ads NOTHING and is certainly not constructive.
WHY CAN'T I GET MY SITE LISTED? ~~ to which the page could be discussed and it could then qualify for getting listed.

I guess I'll get spanked for this thread, but seriously... what is the reason to even have the board?

The sticky sounds quite rude and arrogant in the first place. There could have been a more professional way of sending the message/enforcing new rules. I/We don't loose anything, its only DP which gets a bad rep. (duh)
