Is it normal that after 4 months a site still has no page rank assigned to it or rather a rank of 0.

I have requested many links although many have not shown up yet when queried under line:sitedomain.

    Just looking for input.

Have you already optimize your site using on-page and off-page optimization?

I'm not sure when is the next toolbar PR update, but I think that it worth to wait and then start worry. Do not panic if you are working on the SEO you will definitely get results
    Good luck

Requesting and getting links are two different things. If you have no PR after 4 months, you may want to submit to some directories, comment on some blogs, and put your site in your forum signature. At the rate you are going now, you won't get any results for a good long time unless you change your approach.

Where do you query your site? The big doesn't show all your links unlike Yahoo! 4months would be nothing if you don't link build your site. You can increase your PR if you get massive quality incoming links.

It's going to take time for the PR to filter through. Hang in there and keep working on the site gradually.
