Why is site removed?

My site, http://javascriptbank.com , is listed on http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Programming/Languages/JavaScript/Scripts/Collections/ , in last year; but now I check it & it's removed out DMOZ

Can you tell me the reason? And I just re-suggest it, is it appllied?

    Thank you very much

General answer, not specific to your website.
    • Websites that are unlistable are removed.
    • Websites that would be better listed elsewhere are moved to the new category - usually for further review before listing.
    • Websites that are unavailable are moved back into the pool of websites awaiting review.
In the latter two cases, because they've been put there by an editor, they show up prominently.

If either of those situations apply to your website, do not re-suggest it because it won't expedite matters and could have a negative effect because the prominence will be lost.

If it was the first case, do not re-suggest it because there's no point.

First, thank you very much. But it's still general reasons?

    I re-suggested my site about 1+ month ago? :(

But now I still see no evolvement, so I post this forum

Well sorry about the whole thing, I have a feeling you will be listed once again. Resubmit.

I wonder whether anybody bothers about DMOZ now after Google started its own directory. What really matters is whether your site is indexed by Google, Yahoo etc. Next, whether it comes up on top pages for high traffic keywords.

before my site is listed, I suggest site with all standard requirements (long description, unique title/description,....); I think so :)

but when my site is already listed, I check & see that my title/description is not used, DMOZ's editor had used another title/description ;)

    Yes, that is absolutely normal.
In almost 100,000 edits, I think I have seen maybe 5 (yes, five) webmaster titles and descriptions which did not need rewriting to meet the ODP guidelines before the site was listed. ;)

Can you provide more information on Google's own directory. I can't find it.
If I go to their directory http://www.google.com/dirhp it still shows the DMOZ copy.

You had probably better ask in a Google forum, this is DMOZ.

I believe that it is one of many downstream users. I dont think google rely solely on dmoz.

Maybe this one: http://directory.google.com/ but it also looks like DMOZ copy.
Not sure google has own directory
