Why is Pakistan not willing to leave Kashmir?

This is my first post in politics. I want to make one thing clear that I have nothing against Pakistanis or Muslims. I just feel that they are much more violent by nature but that does not mean the are bad.

My question is why is Pakistan not willing to leave Kashmir. They have no right to occupy it. When the partition occured the king of Kashmir decided to join India and thus whole of Kashmir belong to us. Every law says it belongs to India. So, why does the Pak Govt not be fair and do the right thing? It can be easily taken by force if our Govt wants but why is Pak Govt not willing to do it peacefully.

I AM VERY SORRY IF IT HURT SOMEONE. NO OFFENCE TO ANYONE. AFTER ALL WE ALL ARE HUMANS. I JUST GAVE MY POINT. DON'T GIVE RED REP.:)

King of Kashmir wants to join India not the people of Kashmir. Tell me if the people of Kashmir really want to join India. Why there are more than 600,000 Indian troops in Kashmir. For argument's sake let say they are for LOC security. Then why are 70% of them stationed in the cities and viallages of Kashmir? Indian army's violence against Kashmiri people get reported every single day. India is the only country in the world where more than 10 libration moments are going on at the same time. Only one in Kashmir is by Muslims, all the others are by different sects of hindus and other religions.

Pakistan just want that the "right to choose" should be given to Kashmiri people. All India has to do is run a free and fare election according to UN resolution. Whatever will be the result it should be accepted by both India and Pakistan.

There is also a stretegic reason behind Kashmir issue too. If India have the full control over the Kashmir, rivers in Pakistan will dry. Most recent example is construction of 'Baglihar Dam' in occupied Kashmir by Indian army. It gives India a total control on Chenab River in Pakistan. No river = no water, no water = no crops. You do the math. How devistating will be the affect of Indian control on whole Kashmir. Beside that 2 other major rivers come from Indian occupide Kashmir.

Its a Water War. No other political reason behind it. Pakistan cannot afford to loose Kashmir. Its an agricultural country which heavily depends on the five major rivers.

India was under Muslim rule until arrival of the British. What do you want India to do? Give Kashmir back to the Mohgul Empire.

Just give Kashmiries their right to choose according to UN resolution. Free and Fair election. They are not asking for anything else. To which India agreed many times but never held it. They are aware of the outcome of the fair election.

No side is going to give kashmir up. They both have their justifications.

The only guy who was willing to make major decisions on such issues was mahatma gandhi, and everybody knows what happened to him.

No voilent nature is not good. But nothing can be done about it.
    ____________________________________________________________

I say violent nature because you do things such as Musalmani and Muharram. I don't want to talk about Musalmani but I don't feel fighting with each other with big swords is very good and non-voilent thing. And what do you think I will do with your name? I can tell you that I won't give you a red back because I believe in being tolerable at least to some extent. This hitting each other back will not help. I want Peace.

So, if your Punjab people want to join India you will let them. And who told you people want to join Pakistan. I was in Kashmir for a month at the time of Kargil war and believe me the people really wanted to be in India.

And don't say about fair elections. Your counrty was in Military rule for so long. That means without any democracy. And a non-democratic country asking for so-called fair election does not make any sense.

As you said the reason is only the fertility of the land in Kashmir and the fact that it keeps Pakistan alive. You can not afford to loose it.
    ________________________________________________________________

Why an election for a part which is always ours and people also want it???
And those who don't want is are saying so under the pressure of the terrorists.
    ________________________________________________________________

What human right violation. Your govt is constantly sending forces, shelling mortars to the Indian part of Kashmir amd you say we are violating human rights.
Even when Kargil war was on your forces fought like cowards from behind the mountains. We could have easily went by plane and bombed you out. Instead we decided to fight from our part and it made us loose so many SOLDIERS. We just did it to give respect to the border and save the Pakistan occupied Kashmir people from being hurt. We are even trying to save Pakistani Civillians keeping our soldiers life on the line. What more do you want?

And why on earth do we leave Pakistan? Are we here to donate everything to Pakistan. We have been very nice to you and never initiated a war and never occupied your country even when we had so many chances.

And who is UN to talk about it? It is our matter. UN does not have any idea of the situation here. Did US hear to UN when attacking Iraq. And attacking Iraq was unfair.
    _______________________________________________________________
If thats the way then every country should break up.
    ________________________________________________________________

Sorry, but Mahatma Gandhi and Jaharlal Neheru were responsible for this division. They all wanted to gain power and thus divides us.

We would have lived happily and grown much more powerful if we were not divided. We should again get united but thats never gonna happen due to these political leaders of both countries.

Tell your name and reason here if you give red rep. I won't reciprocate. Thanks.

Iraq invaded and raped Kiuwait as well as carried out genocide against its own people. The armistice signed March 3,1991 was not a peace treaty.

All three of the U.S.-led Coalition wars with Iraq 1990-1991 Gulf War 1, 1991-2003 No-Fly Zone War, and the 2003 Gulf War 2 were justified.

No No, I did not mean that. Sorry, I should have been more specific. I only meant the recent war in which US said that Iraq had bio weapons and in fact they had no such weapons. Imean only the latezst war. Soooory for not being specific.

    But Jezzz
What is the point here? In India We treat all alike. Everyone has right to follow their religion. No one interferes with Muslims. Ans you know what, there are more Muslims in India than Pakistan. So, your point is not a good one. But thanks for being polite.:D

See the Muslims in our country and we love them:-
    SRK
    Salman
    Aimer
    Saif
    Irfan Khan
    Irfan pathan
    Zaheer Khan
    Raja (Sa Re Ga Ma)
And so many Muslim soldiers who fight with all their heart for India. So, there is no problem with Muslims in India.:)
You can come and see. You are WELCOME.:D

The US made a mistake on concentrating on the WMDs when there were plenty of other reasons for taking Sadaam out. But considering that Lybia had advanced nuclear technology and in light of Syria's North Korean reactor, it's certainly likely that Sadaam had some activity in wmd research.

i don't want to get into US issues. But yes maybe Saddam was wrong. But US started this all nuclear things, They bombed Japan. They have tons of nuclear weapons. In my opinion they should not tell anyone to not manufacture waepons before destroying their own weapons. Everbody will think of self defence. What would you do if you were from somewhere other than US? would you not have prepared to defend your own country?
But probably the Iraqis hasd other intetions and so US attacked them.
But can you deny that US had the eye on the oil mines more than anything else?

The world is better off without Sadaam.

The Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapon binds nation not to spread nuclear weapons.

The treaty was proposed by Ireland, and Finland was the first to sign. The signing parties decided by consensus to extend the treaty indefinitely and without conditions upon meeting in New York City on May 11, 1995.

Yes many reasons for taking out saddam, like the 10's of thousands of kurds he gassed while we were supporting saddam and rumsfield is shaking his hand while its happening. Come one man, do you really believe thats why we have our soldiers in harms way in iraq?

Which country is more democratic: India or Pakistan?

Kashmiri people have much better chances to live in democracy being with India than Pakistan IMO.

On the other side Pakistan harbor too many terrorists (wonder why almost every dictatorship in the world is kinda friend to US?). Talibans started from there and spread into Afghanistan.
