I have heard from many of the people that after the panda update they get their site ranking dropped. And the shocking thing is that the sites who have their keyword position on the top page of google, have found their keyword position and site position not in top 100 even. And i have read that penguin update is all depend on the site structure. That means the sites who are well developed and have done off page better, can get their position best in the results. But the site who has fresh and useful content but not better structure or not has focused on the on page factors, might get drop in the position and ranking.

May be your contents are old enough to keep the visitors away from your site or attract new visitors. Update your site regularly.

Google considers over-optimized sites from the natural search results.I think your site traffic dropping as a result of the Penguin update, this has occurred because of your website on-page content or any of your site's backlinks has been deemed web spam by the newest version of Google's ranking algorithm.

Its may be numbers of reason of dropping your traffic. but the main reason is losing your position in SERP pages. you have to analyze why you are losing your position in SERP. check your backlinks, check your keywords and do ethical works for the website. i hope you will get it back soon

If your traffic is down from Google search engine, than it is obvious that your site is hitted with change in algorithm of search engines.
If you are badly affected with the drop of traffic, i would suggest you to create an extra source of traffic, such that you are not totally depended on Google.

Just to add something else other than the good information already posted. Identify where your traffic came from before your traffic dropped. Did you receive traffic from other websites? and your link or information has been removed?. I myself have lost some important back links recently and this has affected serp rankings.

    Just my thought.

Yes Google certainly has changed a lot in the past few months. If you had irrelevant back links to your site - Google would certainly have dropped you down. If you are now following the right way it is only a matter of time before you will get a higher ranking.

Another thing you can check is the keyword density. Do not "stuff" your site with keywords.

Samu, is there anyway for you to share us your web site and perhaps some of the data of the trending of its status for the past few days or weeks? There a very high chance that you've been one of the victims of the penguin update. That's why I'm also interested at seeing your page to check the kind of contents that you've made whether they're of high quality or not. It's the quality and not quantity of the contents that matters now so.

It must have been due to the irrelevant backlinks created by you in course of link building. This has been one of the top reasons due to which Google updates has badly affected some of the high ranking websites.
