It is in google. For instance search for "watch ns3001" on Google (restrict to the UK) and you'll find the product in question no problem. Here's the corresponding URL: http://www.abetterworld.co.uk/static/P_NS3001.html However do the same search on Yahoo and nothing. Does anybody have any ideas as to why? best regards
Not the answer that your looking for but they are different search engines. I do agree with you though, if your ranked in google you should definately be ranked somewhere in yahoo. Maybe some of the more experienced people here can give you an answer.
bear how old is the site ? how many incoming links ? I've recently seen my new sites get added a lot faster by google.
ME TOO!!!! I am soooo frustrated as we are getting good results from Google, but around 95% less traffic from Yahoo! I have just tried linking to Yahoo, msn, dmoz and google as I read this is a good thing to do as they are content sites- what do you reakon?! Our site is around 8 months old and I don't know if I need help to make changes to it or just to sit it out. I've have also put an internal link rich article on the front page, but am nervous that I may be doing something wrong there- any feed back gratefully received!
Does anyone know the standards and ratings that yahoo gives a site in order to be listed? I know different search engines. One would think their would be a standard for all engines. And what about Alta Vista and Jeeves? Does anyone have the same problems there as they do in yahoo?
I can't ever get any traffic from Yahoo, on any of my sites. I guess the just don't like something I'm doing but I can't put my finger on it.
Supposedly they like on-page optimization a lot. H1, H2 tags, keyword rich titles and content, good linking design, alt text for images, etc.
Sorryfor taking so long to respond;I've been having a few computer problem of late. The site has been online now for coming up to one year but: http://abetterworld.co.uk/allProducts.html has only been available for about four months perhaps a little longer. According to: http://www.linkpopularity.com/ 27 links from MSN 209 links from Yahoo 0 links for Google this last one seems mighty odd. That is as the other two are picking up numerous links.
google probably havent had a backlink update since your website was created, so they arent showing them.
This just in....Yahoo just sucks for webmasters trying to gain traffic! F*** Yahoo. They try to act like they care but they don't give a damn about how websites rank in their search engines. The one and only thing Yahoo cares about is money. There I said it!
Hmmm. It turns out that as far as the internet goes, I also am totally focussed on money! Since Yahoo and I are on the same wavelength you would think that they would treat me better
Well guys base on my exprience, i do agree with ramsus,H1, H2 tags, keyword rich titles is a big factor to get good ranking in Y!, also Ive done sone thorough research on my Top 5 competitors regarding on why they are in the top rankings. So based on that research, ive pattern my inpage optimization just like my competitors did, together with good IBL building and the results is NO 2 for my targeted KW
